i really love the collection of plates on the wall in this picture! i have been fascinated with collections lately: dreaming of old tea-cups accumulated over the years in thrift stores on vacations, road-trips, or just sunday drives; or maybe old mason jars and glass bottles, lined up on a shelf with afternoon sunlight pouring through them. plates would be a good one too, although i can't help but be reminded of my grandmother's collection of old plates featuring hunting dogs: a clear case of when collections go horribly awry.
