after a long winter walk, maybe?


warm apple juice with cinnamon and ginger

2 L bottled apple juice
strips of lemon rind from 1 lemon
2 cm piece ginger, finely sliced
8 cinnamon sticks
1 green apple finely sliced

. place apple juice in a jug with lemon rind, ginger and cinnamon sticks. leave to infuse for one hour, then transfer to saucepan. heat gently and strain into heatproof glasses. place a cinnamon stick and apple slice into glass, serve warm.
